New England Dragway is mourning the death of long time Treasurer and board member Ed Bernier. Ed died October 13, after a brief illness. He was largely responsible for finding the acreage in Epping and Brentwood that would eventually become New England Dragway in 1966. In addition to his tireless efforts to help bring a NHRA national event to Epping, Ed was also known as a fierce competitor campaigning a number of entries to championships. Calling hours are set to take place on Thursday, October 17 at the Kent Pelczar Funeral Home in Newmarket, New Hampshire from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. There will be a celebration of Ed’s life at the Newmarket Legion on Friday from 4:30 – 8 PM. For more information visit http://kentandpelczarfh.com
