Wristband 101 – A Primer for 2013
With the volume of questions coming in and misunderstanding about the Restricted Area Crew Wristband here’s a rundown of our changes for 2013.
Full Size Cars and Dragsters
A restricted area crew band is required by anyone who needs to go beyond the Top of Staging. The Top of staging remains at the top of the lanes were cars line up. The area beyond that up to the new crew line and barricades is for crew to view the car they are associated with go down the track. Once the car has completed its run and exited the track you are asked to please return to the pit area or spectator stands to view any further racing. If you are a racer and have a racing wristband it is not necessary to purchase an additional Restricted Area Crew Band. Your racing wristband gives you access to that area if you are associated with another car.
The area beyond the new crew line and barricades is for one crew member (two for Top Sportsman or Top Dragster), unless prohibited by other class rules to assist with the burn out and staging process. Once that car has exited the track you need to exit restricted area.
When Junior Dragsters are running, the area between the Top of Staging and the crew line and barricades becomes a non-restricted area. The area beyond the crew line and barricades remains a restricted area and requires a racer or Restricted Area Crew Band. The same crew policies apply at this point regardless of being a full size car or a Junior Dragster.
Two restricted area crew bands are still included with track rental fee. Extra Restricted Area Crew Bands are available for purchase as needed. No other policies have been changed for track rentals.
