New England Dragway is currently accepting applications for the following part time positions....

Ticketing: Personnel assigned to a gate or ticket sales positions are responsible for selling the appropriate ticket. During regular race days this requires individuals be assigned to the Pit Entry gate and the CredentialsBuilding. During major events, additional ticket sellers will be assigned to the Main Spectator gate, Reserved Seating booths and additional sales areas as assigned by the Ticket Manager. The following items will govern the individual(s) assigned to this position:

• All ticket sellers will familiarize themselves with the appropriate wristbands and/or tickets to be sold and/or assigned by them that day.
• Verify their daily start bank.
• VIP or special entry tickets will be logged as indicated by the Ticket Manager.
• At the conclusion of ticket sales, all required paperwork, including reconciliation sheets and daily accounting forms, will be completed.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

 
Gate Control (Ticket Stubbers/Hand Stampers):  During major and special events, additional personnel are required to facilitate the orderly flow of people into the facility. All New England Dragway, Inc. personnel assigned to stubbing/stamping work directly under the guidance of the Ticket Manager. It is imperative the following guidelines are adhered to:

• All customers entering New England Dragway, Inc. will be treated with courtesy and respect.
• Every customer must provide New England Dragway, Inc. personnel a ticket that will be stubbed.
• All stubs will be deposited as directed by the Ticket Manager.
• Any questions should be directed to the Ticket Manager or his designated representative.
• At the end of each employee’s assigned shift, they are responsible for returning the associated supplies (stamps, stamp pads, buckets, etc.) and/or materials (stubs, coupons, etc.) to the Ticket Manager, organized in a manner specified by him/her.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Concession Worker:  During all regular, major, and special events, concession workers are responsible for providing food items to New England Dragway, Inc.’s guests and employees. Personnel assigned to this position work directly under the guidance of the Concession Manager. The following guidelines are applicable to the position of Concession Worker:

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all food service operations.
• Work in a team environment that is dedicated to excellent customer service and food quality. Remain cognizant of, and adhere to, "Serve Safe" standards.
• Help ensure adequate inventories of food items are readily available, advising the Concession Manager of any discrepancies.
• Ensure customer complaints are immediately referred to the Concession Manager.

Security (Parking):  During major and special events, additional security personnel are required to facilitate the orderly flow of cars and maximize the use of parking space. All New England Dragway, Inc. security personnel assigned to the parking detail work directly under the guidance of the Security Coordinator. It is imperative the following customer service guidelines are adhered to:

• All customers entering New England Dragway, Inc. will be treated with courtesy and respect.
• Any questions should be directed to the Security Coordinator or his designated representative.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Security (Ushers):  During major and special events, additional security personnel are required to ensure proper use of reserved seating areas and that only ticket holders may access a particular area. All New England Dragway, Inc. Security personnel assigned to the usher detail work directly under the guidance of the Security Coordinator. It is imperative the following customer service guidelines are adhered to:

• All customers entering New England Dragway, Inc. will be treated with courtesy and respect.
• Every customer must provide a ticket that indicates access to the Reserved Seating area.
• Any questions should be directed to the Security Coordinator.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Tech Inspector: New England Dragway, Inc. Tech Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and evaluating each car wishing to compete at New England Dragway, Inc. In conjunction with these duties, all Tech Inspectors must have a solid understanding of each requirement outlined in the current NHRA Rulebook and current New England Dragway, Inc. Racer Handbook. Tech Inspectors will also assist in the orderly flow of race day activities including advising the Track Manager or Race Director when various categories should be called to the staging lanes. During race activities, Tech Inspectors will be responsible for directing cars into the lanes and pairing individual racecars when ladders are in effect. The following guidelines will apply to this position:

• Periodically review the current NHRA Rulebook to ensure all safety requirements are adhered to.
• Periodically review the current New England Dragway, Inc. Racer Handbook.
• Advise the Track Manager or Race Director when a vehicle has been disqualified for failure to pass inspection.
• Direct race cars into the staging lanes.
• Assign individual numbers to cars without a permanent number.
• Advise the Track Manager or Race Director when a particular category should be called to the staging lanes.
• Pair individual race cars when ladders are in effect. A Tech Inspector will obtain the ladder from the Handicapper.
• Ask the Track Manager or Race Director to provide the number(s) of the car(s) entitled to bye runs when necessary.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Time Slip Booth: After each run, cars must receive a time slip to properly evaluate the run and prepare for the next round of competition. The individual assigned to the Time Slip Booth is responsible for distributing the correct run data. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:

• Ensure operation of each printer before racing begins.
• Distribute time slips.
• Change printer ribbon as needed.
• Change/reload paper as needed.
• Advise the Track Manager or Race Director whenever a malfunction occurs.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Top End Coordinator: In order to ensure that enough people are available to fill the required Top End positions, the Top End Coordinator will maintain close liaison with all employees assigned to this area. A Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will fill this position. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:

• Prepare and submit to the Track Manager a monthly schedule of individuals assigned to Top End positions.
• Schedule EMT personnel for track rentals as required.
• Ensure that all certification requirements are current and on file.
• Periodically inspect the ambulance and provide a material list for any items that must be ordered.
• Periodically inspect the track fire truck.
• Periodically review current safety practices and ensure compliance with State of New Hampshire rules and regulations.
• Responsible for ensuring all oil and fuel levels are full prior to the start of each race day.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Top End (EMT): Current mandates require a minimum of two (2) EMT’s on the property whenever race activities are conducted. Personnel assigned to this position will staff the New England Dragway, Inc. ambulance and station themselves at Turn One. This is a critical position. Assigned EMT’s are tasked with evaluating the nature of any injuries and responsible for transporting injured individuals or calling in outside resources, as necessary. All New England Dragway, Inc. EMT’s must possess and maintain National Certification, as well as a State of New Hampshire Provider License. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:

• Inspect the ambulance before race activities begin.
• Respond to any medical emergency that takes place on New England Dragway, Inc. property and initiate any corrective measures in compliance with current State of New Hampshire or National Registry guidelines.
• Monitor the track surface to ensure the readiness of the facility for competition.
• Assist in track cleanup whenever debris is spilled or otherwise discarded.
• Direct Junior Dragster competitors off the track periodically throughout the day.
• Distribute time slips to Junior Dragster competitors during time trials and eliminations.
• Responsible for ensuring all oil and fuel levels are full prior to the start of each race day.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Top End (Firefighter): Personnel assigned to this position will staff the New England Dragway, Inc. fire truck and station themselves at Turn Two or Turn Three. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:

• Inspect the fire truck before race activities begin.
• Ensure that all onboard fire extinguishers are charged and ready for operation.
• Respond to any fire-related emergency that takes place on New England Dragway, Inc. property and initiate any corrective measures in compliance with current NFPA guidelines.
• Monitor the track surface to ensure that the facility is ready for competition.
• Assist in track cleanup whenever debris is spilled or otherwise discarded.
• Advise the Top End Coordinator if any extinguishers must be recharged.
• Responsible for ensuring all oil and fuel levels are full prior to the start of each race day.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Top End (Spotter): Individuals assigned to this position will monitor on-track activities throughout the day and assist race vehicles off the racing surface when necessary. The Spotter will be assigned to Turn Two or Turn Three during all race day activities. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:

• Inspect the truck before race activities begin.
• Ensure that there are two charged fire extinguishers available and ready for operation.
• Ensure that there are atleast four (4) bags of rice hull ash in the truck compartment prior to the beginning of race day activities.
• Ensure that there are least two (2) spreaders and two (2) brooms in the back of the truck prior to the beginning of race day activities.
• Monitor the track surface to ensure the facility is ready for competition.
• Assist in track cleanup whenever debris is spilled or otherwise discarded.
• Return all brooms and spreaders to the equipment shed at the conclusion of race activities.
• Return jump kit to the ambulance at the conclusion of race activities.
• Return any protective equipment to the ambulance at the conclusion of race activities.
• Responsible for ensuring all oil and fuel levels are full prior to the start of each race day.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Top of Staging: The individual assigned to this position is responsible for bringing cars into the staging area as directed by the Track Manager or Race Director. The Top of Staging representative will advise when there is sufficient room to bring additional cars into the staging lanes. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:

• Maintain complete familiarity with the current run order.
• Advise drivers to prepare themselves when it appears their respective lanes are due for calling.
• Verify that all competitors have a wristband before leaving the staging lanes.
• Collect time trial run cards when required.
• Keep all spectators from entering the restricted area.
• Assist in cleaning up debris as directed by the Track Manager or Race Director.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Track Announcer: Track Announcers are charged with relaying information to the entire racer and spectator community. The individual assigned to this position must convey a light and entertaining spirit throughout the day. While race activities are underway, the Track Announcer will provide information about each run and background information about the drivers as necessary. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:

• Ensure that the public address system is on and operational.
• Ensure that the FM Broadcast transmitter is on and operational.
• Cue the sponsor announcement tapes for each particular day.
• Make announcements as directed by the Track Manager or Race Director.
• Periodically encourage participants to patronize the ConcessionBuilding, Gas Shack and Novelty Booth.
• Play the sponsor advertisements periodically throughout the day and whenever there are delays due to track cleanup.
• Periodically announce the New England Dragway, Inc. schedule.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.

Water Box: Individuals assigned to the Water Box are responsible for ensuring the area has sufficient water available to allow a burnout. Water Box personnel work directly under the supervision of the Starter. In addition to maintaining an adequate water supply, Water Box personnel must be familiar with current NHRA and New England Dragway, Inc. safety rules. Any discrepancies should be pointed out to the Starter as the vehicle begins the staging process. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:

• Ensure the starting line has one (1)bag of rice hull ashand one (1) broom.
• Ensure there are two (2) brooms in the burnout area.
• Ensure the power blowers are available and operational.
• Assist in the cleanup of any debris.
• Return all equipment to the shed at the conclusion of race activities.
• Ensure there are two charged fire extinguishers available and ready for operation prior to the beginning of race day activities at the starting line and in the vicinity of the Water Box.
• Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including any buildings and/or any vehicles or equipment used by the employee in the process of doing their job.
• Monitor and direct as necessary all spectators and crew in the restricted area at the starting line, for theirsafety and to comply with insurance regulations
