New England Dragway is currently accepting applications for the following part time positions....
Ticketing: Personnel assigned to a gate or ticket sales positions are responsible for selling the appropriate ticket. During regular race days this requires individuals be assigned to the Pit Entry gate and the CredentialsBuilding. During major events, additional ticket sellers will be assigned to the Main Spectator gate, Reserved Seating booths and additional sales areas as assigned by the Ticket Manager. The following items will govern the individual(s) assigned to this position:
Gate Control (Ticket Stubbers/Hand Stampers): During major and special events, additional personnel are required to facilitate the orderly flow of people into the facility. All New England Dragway, Inc. personnel assigned to stubbing/stamping work directly under the guidance of the Ticket Manager. It is imperative the following guidelines are adhered to:
Concession Worker: During all regular, major, and special events, concession workers are responsible for providing food items to New England Dragway, Inc.’s guests and employees. Personnel assigned to this position work directly under the guidance of the Concession Manager. The following guidelines are applicable to the position of Concession Worker:
Security (Parking): During major and special events, additional security personnel are required to facilitate the orderly flow of cars and maximize the use of parking space. All New England Dragway, Inc. security personnel assigned to the parking detail work directly under the guidance of the Security Coordinator. It is imperative the following customer service guidelines are adhered to:
Security (Ushers): During major and special events, additional security personnel are required to ensure proper use of reserved seating areas and that only ticket holders may access a particular area. All New England Dragway, Inc. Security personnel assigned to the usher detail work directly under the guidance of the Security Coordinator. It is imperative the following customer service guidelines are adhered to:
Tech Inspector: New England Dragway, Inc. Tech Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and evaluating each car wishing to compete at New England Dragway, Inc. In conjunction with these duties, all Tech Inspectors must have a solid understanding of each requirement outlined in the current NHRA Rulebook and current New England Dragway, Inc. Racer Handbook. Tech Inspectors will also assist in the orderly flow of race day activities including advising the Track Manager or Race Director when various categories should be called to the staging lanes. During race activities, Tech Inspectors will be responsible for directing cars into the lanes and pairing individual racecars when ladders are in effect. The following guidelines will apply to this position:
Time Slip Booth: After each run, cars must receive a time slip to properly evaluate the run and prepare for the next round of competition. The individual assigned to the Time Slip Booth is responsible for distributing the correct run data. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:
Top End Coordinator: In order to ensure that enough people are available to fill the required Top End positions, the Top End Coordinator will maintain close liaison with all employees assigned to this area. A Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will fill this position. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:
Top End (EMT): Current mandates require a minimum of two (2) EMT’s on the property whenever race activities are conducted. Personnel assigned to this position will staff the New England Dragway, Inc. ambulance and station themselves at Turn One. This is a critical position. Assigned EMT’s are tasked with evaluating the nature of any injuries and responsible for transporting injured individuals or calling in outside resources, as necessary. All New England Dragway, Inc. EMT’s must possess and maintain National Certification, as well as a State of New Hampshire Provider License. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:
Top End (Firefighter): Personnel assigned to this position will staff the New England Dragway, Inc. fire truck and station themselves at Turn Two or Turn Three. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:
Top End (Spotter): Individuals assigned to this position will monitor on-track activities throughout the day and assist race vehicles off the racing surface when necessary. The Spotter will be assigned to Turn Two or Turn Three during all race day activities. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:
Top of Staging: The individual assigned to this position is responsible for bringing cars into the staging area as directed by the Track Manager or Race Director. The Top of Staging representative will advise when there is sufficient room to bring additional cars into the staging lanes. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:
Track Announcer: Track Announcers are charged with relaying information to the entire racer and spectator community. The individual assigned to this position must convey a light and entertaining spirit throughout the day. While race activities are underway, the Track Announcer will provide information about each run and background information about the drivers as necessary. The following items will govern the individual assigned to this position:
Water Box: Individuals assigned to the Water Box are responsible for ensuring the area has sufficient water available to allow a burnout. Water Box personnel work directly under the supervision of the Starter. In addition to maintaining an adequate water supply, Water Box personnel must be familiar with current NHRA and New England Dragway, Inc. safety rules. Any discrepancies should be pointed out to the Starter as the vehicle begins the staging process. The following items will govern the individuals assigned to this position:
